DATUK DR MARIMUTHU NADASON APPOINTED AS A NEW CHAIRMAN OF Malaysian STANDARD AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL

We would like to extend our congratulations to Consumers International Board member Datuk Dr. Marimuthu Nadason, President of Malaysian member FOMCA, on his appointment as new Chairman for Malaysian Standards and Accreditation Council (MSDAM). The role will last for a period of three years with effect from 1 January 2018.

Marimuthu’s selection is based on his outstanding commitment to championing and promoting consumer rights in Malaysia, with a particular dedication to protecting consumers through the use of standards. On accepting the role,

MSDAM, which is managed by the Department of Standards Malaysia, plays an important role in supporting Malaysian Ministry aspirations to use national standardization as a driver of economic development, social progress and innovation in Malaysia.
