Socio Economic Welfare Action for Women and Children (SEWA) Nepal

Formed in 1990, Socio Economic Welfare Action for Women and Children (SEWA NEPAL) is a national non-governmental civil society organisation dedicated to the cause of socio-economic advancement of women and children living in both rural and urban areas of Nepal. SEWA NEPAL aims to enhance the status of women and children through various advocacy activities along consumer awareness programmes and consumers rights campaigns. SEWA NEPAL believes in consumer protection through active women's participation. It also engages in non-formal education programmes and sustainable consumption awareness programmes. SEWA NEPAL is a member organisation of Child Labour Action Network and the Asia Pacific Network on food sovereignty.
