National Union for Consumer Protection

The UNPC is the main Algerian organisation for consumer protection. It promotes consumer interests at the school level, support publications in order to straighten the consumerist movement in Algeria and defend consumer right before the judiciary power. Furthermore, the organisation aims at:

• encouraging consumers and small organisations to work actively for their interests;
• promoting and advancing consumer interests in society and on the market by means of informal action;
• building in Algeria the principles of fairness and sustainable consumption;
• developing consumer awareness;
• working for environmental protection
