Vanessa is an investigative writer at Consumer NZ, where she digs into claims, uncovers dodgy practices and hold businesses to account. She is a passionate advocate for consumer rights, and investigates issues across a broad range of sectors and markets. These include supermarkets and pricing, aged care, aviation, online marketplaces and scams as well as fast fashion, greenwashing and sustainability. She hopes that through her contribution to the Network she can share consumer perspectives from Aotearoa, gain insights into the global consumer experience and learn from other members to inform her investigative journalism. Vanessa is also admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
