Javier Fernández, ODECU (Chile)

Javier Fernández is a journalist and PhD student in Sociology, with a strong interest in consumer issues, particularly the information asymmetry between the market and consumers, as well as the development of new technologies in the field of consumer information. He leads a Public Policy Observatory at ODECU (Chile), conducting research on these issues to establish proposals that enable consumers to be better informed and to contribute to the organisation's discussions on current issues in various decision-making spaces, especially as new emergence technological and environmental challenges emerge. Through the Next Generation Leaders Network, he hopes to foster international relationships that enable the exchange of experiences to propose public policies that create better consumer relations.
