DCC is an independent membership organisation for both individuals and organisations. Its purpose is to represent the interests of all consumers on a non-profit basis, independent of public authorities, business, and political parties. DCC works to secure consumer rights, promote consumer affairs and give consumers the power and opportunity to make healthy, safe, and more sustainable choices on an informed basis. We do this through debate, awareness-raising campaigns, tests and analysis, legal advice to individual consumers and represents the interests of consumers on more than 200 councils, boards, and committees.
DCC was established in 1947 and is the world’s second first consumer council, the first in Europe.
DCC publishes the member magazine 'Forbrugerrådet Tænk'.
