Forbrugerrådet Tænk
The Danish Consumer Council

The Danish Consumer Council is an independent membership organisation which works for the promotion of sustainable and socially responsible consumption and efficient markets. Our purpose is to defend consumer rights and make consumers a power in the market.
The Danish Consumer Council’s members include individuals and organisations, but we work for all consumers, regardless of their resources, place of residence or political persuasion. We work to improve conditions for consumers through debate, awareness-raising and assistance to all those interested in the relationship between consumption and society.
The Danish Consumer Council was created in 1947. The organisation represents the interests of consumers on more than 200 committees, boards and councils. Through dialogue with the business community a large number of private complaints bodies have been established covering sectors as diverse as insurance, banking and investments, travel and the building industry. The Danish Consumer Council publishes two magazines, Forbrugerrådet Tænk and Forbrugerrådet Tænk Penge.
