Council Member: Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC)
Anindita Mehta has over 32 years’ experience in various domains of Academics, Research and Training, Sustainability, Food & Nutrition, Product Safety & Health. She holds a Master’s Degree and Senior Research Fellowship in Biochemistry. She has spearheaded various National and International projects and is presently serving on various Boards and important government consultative Committees. Currently she holds the position of CGM, CERC, Coordinator MoEF& CC, Board Member St. Xaviers College, & Association of Chemical Technologists of India (ACTI), Committee Member of over 20+ Committees of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and FSSAI (Food Safety& Standards Authority of India). She works very closely with various stakeholders - Consumers, Regulators-FDCA, Gujarat, Industry Bodies, FICCI, CII, Consumer Affairs Ministry, Academic institutions & is a Resource Partner with MoEF&CC. Presently she has been elected as Council as well as Board Member at Consumer International.
Prior to joining CERC, she was Lecturer at St. Xaviers College and Senior Scientist at a reputed Research organisation (ATIRA).
The Consumer Education and Research Centre is engaged in the promotion and protection of consumer interests. It is a research organisation which disseminates its findings to empower further consumers and their rights. CERC also uses the existing legal framework to help resolve consumer grievances.
