THE CONSUMER VISION FOR FAIR DIGITAL FINANCE
The Forum will kick-off with the Consumer Vision for Fair Digital Finance, offering insights from leaders in the consumer movement to develop a unique blueprint of a fair digital financial future. It presents the opportunities and risks of the broadening digital finance marketplace while offering tangible ways in which digital finance can be harnessed to the benefit of all consumers.
The document outlines the advantages FinTech businesses can offer consumers, such as lower cost and greater accessibility for vulnerable consumers. It also notes that these opportunities aren’t without risk, both the traditional financial risks and new hazards particular to the digital marketplace.
The Vision provides critical questions for key decision makers to ensure a digital marketplace that is inclusive, safe, data protected and private, and sustainable for all. It also highlights existing good practices of digital financial services to make fair digital finance a reality for consumers everywhere.
