Association Burundaise des Consommateurs (ABUCO)

Association Burundaise des Consommateurs (ABUCO) is a civil society organisation founded in 1994 for the purpose of defending consumers. It is a nation-wide organisation with 350 members nationally. Its main objectives are to promote, to develop and to defend consumer rights as well as to educate and inform consumers. Ever since its creation, ABUCO has always been a strong advocate of consumer rights and slowly government authorities are understanding this and are consulting the organisation in all decisions that matter for consumers.
